About Kezlei Foundation
Literacy, stories & creative learning
A Cape Town Nonprofit Built Around Reading & Art
Kezlei Foundation is a literacy and creative education nonprofit focused on improving reading, comprehension, and creative expression among children in underserved primary schools across Cape Town.
We work where the need is greatest, partnering with schools and trusted cultural institutions including Zeitz MOCAA (Museum of Contemporary Art Africa) and the BMW Centre for Art Education to bring high-quality, exhibition-inspired learning experiences to young learners.
Our approach centres three things: literacy development in primary schools, storytelling rooted in the African continent, and creative, embodied learning experiences that engage the whole child.
Our Core Belief
"We believe our very own child should know their purpose as well as existence."
